The Hallways of 2019

Quiet Beginnings
at University.

The story of Al Alif Foundation started long before the organization officially existed. In 2019, during their time at the University of South Asia, two young students—Asfahan Arif and Nabeel Ali Khan—began helping people around them without any title, office, or organization name.

It started with small acts of kindness. Sometimes it was arranging educational fees for classmates about to leave university because they could not afford tuition. Other times, it was collecting urgent blood donations for patients fighting for their lives in hospitals.

From Individual Effort
to Global Vision.

By 2022, Asfahan and Nabeel realized that individual efforts can help people temporarily, but an organized platform can create long-term impact. This thought became the foundation of a bigger dream.

To strengthen the mission internationally, Asfahan Arif connected with Muhammad Afaq Arif, who played a major role in building donor relations and humanitarian connections in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).

Afaq Arif further connected the mission with Yasmeen Khan (Founder of CTC House and Home Real Estate Dubai). At the time, Yasmeen was already planning to establish a humanitarian NGO in an Asian country. Her profound support and shared vision were instrumental in this journey, allowing us to serve more people with structured and sustainable impact.

Official Establishment

In February 2023, the Al Alif Foundation was officially established, marking a new chapter in structured humanitarian aid.

The Real Journey

Ramadan 2023:
A Promise Fulfilled.

The foundation launched its first organized Ramadan Rashan Drives in Lahore, distributing ration packages to families struggling with inflation and financial hardship.
